Update 4! Do you guys even scroll this far down anymore? Ha ha. The more I know the more I change. You get the pattern... I changed some things around and simplified the sucker with the help of the wonderful Vicki Golden. THIS is my logo... again, so far.

I really like the expression on your face and your style of painting it is very alive. I think your colors work very well , I think if you still want to improve on the oil painting maybe make the highlights on your neck a little less bright they seem to compete. I am imagining the lettering like comic book style when someone gets punched like KABLOW or whatever.
I like it. Looks like you and the colors are fun. But you may be the first person I've seen try to market themselves with a mini oil painting. Reducing this to one color for cost purposes would be a pain.
You might want to try taking out the black shape in the uni brow area.

AH! Really coming along. If I had a suggestion at this point it would be to add something to the head to make it feel more like the top was lifted off or opened. I keep looking at the jagged ones and seeing a crown on first glance, in the new ones a weird brain. It's very pretty though. On the right track, and the black brow removal was a good thing. Looks cleaner and more light hearted too, because of it.
