I wish you would make some of the mushrooms different sizes, like maybe have some going into the distance and adding some close-ups. Right now, everything in the composition is the same line-weight and same basic size. It makes for a really static design.
Well, and now that I think about it, if he was an Ent, I'm not sure you would see mushrooms since they are so close to the ground. Unless you're doing a sort of portrait, I don't think it makes sense that way. It would be sweet if you did a pull-back of like his entire body and just have the mushrooms as an accent around his feet.
I really like the idea though. Ents are the best.
