Here's my black and white assignment I marathoned today. Feels really good to have finished this one, and have it turn out a fair bit better than I thought it would. Here's to hoping when i go to print tomorrow that screen-tone doesn't just turn grey.
Glad to see people are digging the layout. Before I forget, I just wanted to say, you can all feel free to tag your posts with your name, so if you ever want to pull up someone's work, we can just sort by the tag by clicking on it. I thought I had mentioned it before, but now that I think about it, I don't think I have.

this looks awesome! i love the horse it reminds me of a puppet, and i like the technique on the fence too. Nice
layout is nice. Story is fun too. Is that yours? Much different from the "Fat People Fucking" story you had the other night. Love the Arc of the characters and this crazy new style you've been developing. I'd say it gets busy towards the bottom but I honestly like that look so I'll shut up. Good luck with the print though. I cant say whether or not you'll get that texture outta DX.

i looked at this with a high powered microscope and the only thing i could find wrong, (and this is nit picking) was the preachers right eyebrow, because some of the tangents, it looks like he has two eyeballs in one socket, which isnt necessarily a bad thing
Thanks for the words guys. I don't know what it is with this style lately. It's just fun to do, especially after coming off of a remarkably long stint of concept art and painterly stuff. Clean lined stuff is all I used to do until CCAD broke my spirit.
I'm having a hard time realizing that "second eye" I just can't see it. I'll have to wait awhile longer so it's fresh again.
its more than likely just me thats seeing it, but i think its cuz of the black line above his eye brow
