Children's line drawing

Hey everyone, this is a line drawing for a cover of a children's magazine for Boley's class. Its halloween characters dressing up as other things, fun? I'm not totally happy with it yet and I couldn't figure out what I wanted to change so I was hopin for some advice. Its gonna be in full color, and the mummies eyes will be glowing, so if anyone has any suggestions, maybe other costume idea's for them, that would be sweet. Thanks.

hey i like that I think its pretty funny. maybe you should make the three monsters take up more space somehow. i think they should be more in front of the tree branches. i love when you exaggerate things in your drawings because it always looks hilarious and a little bit creepy.

i still say there should be a dr. akula in there. I feel like there is so much fun on the front cover that the back cover gets jipped.

I think your best bet would be to exaggerate the costumes as much as you did the characters. You know? like take that cowboy hat and make either really small or larger is certain areas.

The tree, I think, will be pushed back once the color is on it but I'll agree with Dave on the left side feeling empty if that's the main cover...maybe you should make all the characters larger or maybe just more of them and move them to the left far enough to have frank on the cover by himself then you fold it out to reveal all his monster pals behind him. I think that would fill up space better because I would be worried about adding more objects and it feeling to cluttered.

Looks good punk, i really like the bats and the overlapping, allowing the eye to be pulled into the swamp thing that is staring right at you. Only thing i can say is that i don't really get the relationship between the costumes and the characters like boley was talking about, expect for the swamp thing. Really like where it's goin though, im interested to see how you implement color in the final.

This is actually pretty close to one of my cards for humorous. But this is cool, hard to judge without color. I like the idea of a Dr. Acula and I agree that you should exaggerate the costumes more. Other than that, solid sketch, now add color

Thought I had said something about this. I do like it. Screams Quinn. I really like some of the stylizations. Hopefully you haven't went to far to fix this though, but even with the stylization, Frankie's face still is feeling a bit off and I think that is where his upper lip and area below the nose disappear as his head wraps around. You see what I mean?

Compositionally I see no problems, looking dandy, and I'm sure some of those elements that may be pulling a bit too forward now will be pushed back with some color.
