Been A While

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I'd go ahead and share a few pieces I reworked into finals recently. Hope everyone had a great break. :)

These turned out quite nicely. I'm digging the backgrounds on both, especially in the second though.

The only minor things I could find that could be tweaked would be that the shadow from the first girls hair on her face could have a sharper edge since the object casting the shadow is very close to the surface its casting on.

On the second my only criticism is that her fingernails are rather dull so unless she is wearing some kind of matte nail polish I would add some highlights to them. The shiny nails and shiny blood drips would go nicely together. :)

I agree with Wes the nails look a little dull. Like...fleshy nails haha. Which could be cool but, if it was intentional you should add a little color variation if you decide not to add shine.

But, I really like what you did with the backgrounds. I actually really like the first one, I know we talked about how you were going to work on environments and stuff and it's definitely an improvement.

The one thing I would add is maybe a little bit of irritation around the scars. Maybe a bit of redness. Even if the character has had those scars for a long time I would still add a bit of color. Like on the bottom one around her cheek a little bit would be nice to kind of make the scars feel a little more connected. The scars on the first one almost feel a little like tattoos? I don't know haha.
