Mickey Boxer

1st design for silk screen project, bout to do a reprint when i make stuff for the art sale.

you might notice this weird mickey mouse ear theme i've had in my last few pieces...idk i tend to get stuck on certain imagery for whatever reason...there's no real reason behind it.

Also sorry that i failed to put these three posts in one post...i would go back and do it but i'm lazy.

Crash and Burn

ok i seriously don't know how to make this work as a design you might see on a shirt or something...i drew a blank in the class and i think i'm going to crash and burn on this assignment...

i'll probably have to redraw the whole thing so any suggestions are viable at this point...

Updates

this is just a little update; it's a piece i did for entrepreneurial illustration, it's been "done" for a few weeks now but i finally posted it for some suggestions, even though it's not where i want it to be. Still need to tweak the colors a bit and maybe add my usual value.

i think I'm going to try and silkscreen this.

Panthaman!!!

PANTHAMAN IS FINISHED!!! At least for now...jesus I'm tired and my eyes are bleeding...which is why i won't be able to see any mistakes until later. Suggestions appreciated :P

WIP: Demon Heart

Two of the three characters I'm creating for a professional practice piece; the third is a panther-headed man hahaha. I know they need some more touch ups but I'm not sure what to do exactly besides pull out m ore highlights. Any suggestions?

WIP: Illogical Space Wear Continued Progress

All I have to say is I'm glad I picked this back up today...I liked the sketch a lot but felt I didn't go in the right direction. There's a change in facial expression, hair, color and pose and I'm enjoying it much more now. Also a detail crop that I might use for my branding assignments. Oh and there will be background elements but i'm focusing on the figure right now. Any comments/suggestions?

Duck Tank Goose

A design comp i made for a future screen print/ T shirt, a different view of "having a monkey on your back." not sure exactly what I'm going to do with the bear's color or with the background..i kinda put a weird "city" scape in the back because the figures were just floating there.

**** Yes I know the crop is all kinds of shitty, but honestly I just ran off the "paper" and left it like it is. It will be a vignette.****

Storm Catcher

So...I've realized I have a bad habit of starting stuff and moving on to the next project before finishing. I need to get a grip on that...

Anywho, this piece is an idea I cooked up about a girl who can catch lighting and bend it to her will and even store it with the use of a *insert trinket/item name*

The corner is a color scheme i was messing around with and liked...although i doubt I'd leaver her skin green...it does have it's appeal for god knows what reason. I want to set her on a high rocky cliff with the ocean in the moonlight as the background. any suggestions and crits are greatly appreciated!

Also the summer stuff is looking good guys!

Caution!! Skin-tight latex suits do not function in Outer Space!!

So I finally got off my ass (and sat right back down) to draw something, even if that something had no meaning whatsoever. So this piece is for shits and giggles and as you can see it's still in sketch mode.

The idea is a Spacey Femme Fatal with some nice graphic designs in the back, maybe something you'd see on a graphic T or cd cover for a horribad band. Your choice. Anywho, give me some tips, ideas, and crit the shit out of this thing cuz I'd like to start building a portfolio BEFORE senior year begins. Thanks!

the characters i did for the final in Styles and Concepts. Haven't touched them since class but wanted to hear any suggestions you guys might have for them. They still have a bit to go in terms of cleaning up the line and coloring. The next set will be some sort of opposing faction in the story so maybe having the two together will work better. who knows...

anywho hope you guys have a good summer, i'll be doing my best to update Oondu on the stuff i do!

Well I decided to go ahead and take this to final for styles and concepts. I'd love to explain what the assignment was but I really don't know anymore.

With the extra time though I'd appreciate any pointers you guys have. I originally wanted to render this but instead chose to stay flat and graphic. I used some halftone in there too so let me know if that's working out alright or not. Thanks :)

A sketch for a personal piece I'm working on...though I'm probably going to use it for watercolor. I'm not sure what will be coming out of the dress, I've been throwing back the idea of a human figure reaching towards her instead. The scanner was too small so i shortened the dress but i'd actually make it spread out further in the final. Any suggestions would be cool.

Twelfth Night

Been awhile since I've posted, but I plan on updating so here's a start while my laptop is out of commission. This is a program cover for a Twelfth Night theatre performance for Styles and Concepts.

The first thing up here is a quick watercolor with some minor PS tweaking on a face I came up with while thinking of some of the Cannabis works. Like I said in Styles and Concepts, I want to put it into a larger piece.

The second is on the theme death, not sure what exactly I was trying to say, I just wanted it to be visual. It's unclear due to the size and some difficulty trying to matte off the watercolor but the red splatter is blood and she has a bullet hole in her forehead. I want to go in and draw lines for her blood soaked hair so it is not confused with the blood. I also want to try it in larger format just for shits and giggles.

Gentle Giant....OOH IT'S A DUCKY!!!

Yet another summer sketch I have on my own blog but I need some crits on it. my idea was to show an anthropomorphic elephant warrior on a deserted battlefield (even though i completely forgot to illustrate dead corpses and such in the bg >.>) with a gentler side to him...hence the duck. :P anywho, i could really use some suggestions on improving my armor and the background because I fail hardcore when it comes to scenery. I also started cleaning up the one on the right, should I continue that way or keep it sketchy? Any and all comments will be appreciated!

Octozombie

I have yet to draw anything new worth putting up here so I figured I'd post this. It's a little character design idea i had over the summer that I never really posted anywhere. Done in Painter. The original character was shirtless but I got bored during the whole process and put that shirt on him to test it out. I got some positive feedback from people about it so I may try and beef it up into a Threadless design, who knows. So throw a critique on me, tell me what you guys think :P
